Register on arrival
and find out your target number/designation if you don't
know already.
First thing to do is
introduce yourself to all the other archers shooting
on the same target as you, if you are new they will
gladly help you along.
Most shoots operate
a A B C D system - two archers A and B, will shoot in
the first, then C and D in the next. After the first
end it all swaps, so C and D go first.
If shooting a Portsmouth
or Fita 18/25m round expect to be there for at least
3-4 hours, maybe a bit more if watching the prize giving,
so find a seat, sit down as much as possible between
ends it will help to conserve some energy. Same goes
for outdoor shoots, in fact even more so.
Takes some food &
snacks to chomp on between ends. It is better to eat
small amounts all day during the shoot than to stop
and have a large lunch. Otherwise you may find you become
some what lethargic if you eat large amounts at lunchtime,
eat little and often all day.
